The Classical Phonetic Method for Reading
The Classical Phonetic Method for Reading integrates the knowledge of phonics, morphology, and etymology so children understand the reading, pronunciation, meanings, and uses of English words. Many of the skills taught in this approach are not covered in students’ classrooms at school. Students also learn basic grammar and develop extensive vocabularies. Enroll your 5-8 year-old in a class that will inspire and engage your child in reading!
Small Online Classes
Reading Adventures with Amy teaches two to four children at a time, which provides enormous benefits for students, with a collaborative learning setting where students contribute, motivate, and support each other. Children are enthusiastic about the learning material, and eager to interact with their peers.
Weekly Work at Home
Get your child off to the right start in school by instilling engaging and lasting learning habits. Students will receive 30 minutes to an hour each week of activities to do at home. The work is divided into two parts; one part practices writing and spelling skills, and the second part involves assigned review games to play with you or other family members. The games are so much fun that your children won’t want to stop!

Amy has a Masters of Elementary Education degree from Xavier University. In addition to teaching, Amy is a professional writer for websites and publications in the education field.
Amy designed The Classical Phonetic Method for Reading to apply the latest research findings to the way our brains learn to read. In an integrated program that explicitly teaches the foundations of phonetical reading, spelling, and morphology, students excel in reading mastery.
Amy is an avid reader and an animal lover. Her students know that they will be exposed to topics engaging them with furry, feathery, or scaly friends from time to time. She lives in Columbus, Ohio.
